Secure smart meter communications rely on keys for encryption, decryption, authentication, and so on, but management of keys is a challenge. This project addresses public key (i.e., certificates) distribution in smart meter networks, and in particular, deals with the management of the revoked certificates. It aims to develop customized solutions for certificate revocation list (CRL) management and distribution in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) with minimized delay, bandwidth and storage efficiency.
This project involves inputs from GlobalSign and Landys+Gyr.
